Meet Ann Mary

Anne-Mary has called Ilkley home for over 20 years and loves living here.  After an earlier career in libraries and data management she now works as a civil servant. She first came to yoga to help with a bad back, but soon discovered it offered much more than just that. What kept her heading for the studio was yoga’s wider outlook on wellbeing – the sense of community, the headspace, the chance to truly switch off, and yes, the bonus of still being able to touch her toes. Anne-Mary’s ambition is to help others discover that yoga is about far more than perfect poses or the lotus position – it’s also about taking time for yourself, finding new strength and flexibility in your body or calming a racing mind. Yoga can be whatever you need it to be when you’re doing it – it’s a practice for real life

Are you pregnant and looking for a positive, calm way to prepare for birth?

At Ilkley Yoga Centre, we offer the KGH Hypnobirthing course in Ilkley — a powerful, practical approach to childbirth that helps you feel informed, relaxed, and ready to welcome your baby. Our courses are suitable for first-time parents and those with previous birth experience, and are available in-person at our Ilkley studio or live-streamed via Zoom, so you can join from anywhere.
