Free Pilot Research Study of Yoga for Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

National Lottery Funding and British Wheel of Yoga Qualification facilitated. Read more below about how to apply.

Stress has become a word associated with being busy, having lots to do, deadlines to meet, sometimes we thrive and grow during these moments.  Stress originates from the external environment.  What happens when the stress overwhelms us, or when life-events occur, changes occur, that take us into an emotional tumbler-dryer.   Anxiety can be debilitating, preventing us from thinking straight, unable to make decisions, full blown anxiety attacks can stop us in our tracks.

What if there was a method for controlling those thoughts, the chewing of the mind, that leads to feelings of being overwhelmed, and anxious.

There is anecdotal evidence that through the practices of yoga, those practicing yoga can take control over anxious thoughts.

Through National Lottery funding, via The British Wheel of Yoga Qualifications, we are very pleased to have been invited to be a part of the research project collecting the evidence to substantiate these claims.

    1. Hi Nicola sorry for the delayed reply and if you have already done so. If you email the British wheel BWYQchair@gmail.com they will be able to advise if there is space. We are the facilitator and the central location are assigning places to candidates. Thank you.

  1. Hi

I just wondered if there are spare places on the Yoga Research Course for anxiety ( ILKLEY) which you are starting in January

I have two clients who I think could benefit enormously from incorporating Yoga into their life but don’t want to mention the course to them if you are full.

If you could let me know it would be very much appreciated
