I offer an Acupressure Energy Healing Massage called ‘Hwal-Gong’, originating from traditional Korean mind-body practices.
It’s a floor-based style of massage similar to Shiatsu which taps in to the importance of good blood circulation and Ki energy circulation, as the foundation of well-being.
It can help with over-thinking, stress relief, aches and pain, digestive issues, fatigue/tiredness, pain and stiffness, core strength, balance and many other aspects of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
I have been offering these sessions since 2005 and I have also completed additional studies (in-person) in:
Remedial, Swedish and Sports massage
Reflexology
Zenthai Shiatsu
Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage)
Massage £75 (75 minutes)
A session focused on the health of the digestive system, the vibrancy of the intestines and which will improve ‘gut health’ and blood circulation. Recommendations of exercises to do at home can be given. A great session for anyone who would like to have more energy and/or has digestive issues.
Hwal-Gong: to go in to a little more details, Hwal-Gong is a massage theory and technique from the Korean tradition of healing arts with its principles dating back 10,000 years. Today these ancient principles are used as the basis of Hwal-Gong therapy. Its purpose is to balance the body, mind and spirit through the use of Ki energy (Qi, Chi) along the meridian channels (energy pathways) in the body. By using specific massage techniques, pressure is applied to the acupressure points along these channels which facilitates the flow of Ki energy.
Restoring the proper flow of Ki energy enhances the body’s natural healing power and immune system. Hwal-Gong is a highly effective therapy used by professionals to improve circulation, and restore internal organ and musculoskeletal function. It also balances the brain waves to a relaxed, more functional state as well as normalising the nervous system.
Much more than just a massage technique, Hwal-Gong helps the therapist and client become sensitised to feeling and using Ki energy as a way of self healing.
