What to expect on the Lake District Yoga retreat?

If you have never been on a retreat before, in need of a rest or want an opportunity to take your practice deeper or meet new yogi friends then this Lake District yoga retreat will tick your boxes.

We have been running retreats to Yewfield, Vegetarian Guest House for a number of years and here is the usual format. All meals included from Friday night dinner to Sunday morning breakfast.

Friday Yoga Retreat

Arrival from 3 pm – A chance to settle in and explore your surroundings.

5 pm – Meet together in the yoga studio for introductions and a workshop before dinner.

Quick chance to get changed or stay in your yoga gear.

7:30 pm – Eat a delicious vegetarian / vegan meal together (contraband is always welcome, chocolate and a little wine).

9:00 pm – Meet together in the studio in comfy clothes for a yoga Nidra practice.

Saturday Yoga retreat

7 am – Morning yoga with Susie. A yoga class with Susie will take you to the next level in your yoga journey.

9:30 am – Head straight to breakfast and enjoy a homemade smoothie.

Free time – A chance to chill & relax. Remember to collect your pack lunch from our groups private kitchen (bring snacks if you are big eater).

12 noon – We usually meet for a guided walk around Hawkeshead together or if you wish to head off on your own that’s fine too. If the weather is poor we normally head to the studio for an optional Satsang until 2 pm or you can choose to spend this time relaxing.

More free time

5 pm – Meet together again in the studio for a yoga workshop, taking your practice even further with yin yoga.

Opportunity to change or head straight to dinner.

7:30 am – We eat again!

9:00 pm – Meet in the studio for a Yoga Nidra practice in your PJs or comfy clothes.

Sunday Yoga retreat

8 am – A Yoga workshop class to close the weekend on a high with inversions.

10: 30 am – Head straight to breakfast and opportunity to say goodbye to the rest of the group followed by a team photograph.

Each yoga session looks like they are a long time but there is chance to chat, have a warm drink and explore your yoga.
